Behind this exciting new cutting-edge health facility are directors Marty Williams and Kelly Martinovich, two of Perth’s leading accredited Strength and Conditioning Coaches, Biosignature Practitioners and PICP Coaches who have been recognised by, arguably the world’s leading Strength and Conditioning Coach, Charles Poliquin, as two of the best in the business.
After much experience, research and travelling all over the world to learn from the best in their fields, the duo decided the only way they could get the environment needed to get the maximum results for their clients, would be to create it themselves. As Marty states “Working out of gyms around Perth, we were limited in our ability to offer what we knew would really help people. Opening our own facility was the only answer, because results for our clients mean everything to us.” And so, the Strength Institute was born.
Determined to bring their exclusive Floreat establishment to the forefront of the West Australian strength, health and fitness industry, they have not only installed world class equipment but will also introduce the BioSignature method of training and weight loss to Perth’s northern suburbs.
“Have you ever noticed that your body has an annoying habit of constantly storing fat in certain areas? “asks Kelly. “BioSignature is a system based on scientific evidence proving that where individuals store body fat is a direct indication of how healthy and balanced your hormones are. Biosignature goes beyond standard body fat testing and reveals your blueprint for faster fat loss and the result is improved performance in all areas of your life - physical, mental, and intellectual.” All Shredded clients will benefit from BioSignature Modulation as well as on-going hormonal assessments, movement screening tests, nutritional management plans, online coaching access and individual exercise program designs.
The Shredded Strength Institute will be the first facility in W.A to be fitted out with the world renowned range of Eleiko and Atlantis Equipment as well as an infa-red sauna for de-toxification. “The Shredded Strength Institute has extremely specialised equipment, most of which cannot be found in commercial gyms, including ways to train common imbalances muscles and postural issues”.
Structural balance is such a key and often neglected part of many programmes. No one has a bilaterally balanced body and as such every client will begin with unilateral movements,” says Marty. Atlantis equipment (used and recommended by Charles Poliquin) focuses on refined ergonomics and biomechanics allows for unilateral movement due to the unique dual pivoting pulleys which allow users to define their specific exercise pattern.
As BioSignature and detoxification are a specialisation of the Shredded Strength Institute an infrared sauna has been installed and will be available for use by clients and included as part of developed programs. “An infrared sauna is the only way for the body to detoxify itself of plastics. We will be the only establishment in WA that will provide this facility combined with a structurally balanced training program; nutritional plan and supplementation support to ensure the most effective and safest results,” boasts Kelly.
Two Olympic platforms can also be found at the Shredded Strength Institute as well as specialised Strongman Equipment custom designed for the Institute. These key aspects of athletic performance are again unique to Shredded and will be only used under the supervision of the Directors who are both AWF certified Olympic lifting coaches.
“Our highly professional and knowledgeable Senior Strength and Conditioning Coaches will effectively manage Shredded clients through a combination of diet, exercise, personalised supplementation program, and lifestyle modifications,” says Kelly, adding, “This means stronger, fitter and leaner results in a quicker amount of time.
